It is a shocking experience to be awakened by some event in your life and discover that things have changed. You suddenly realize that your government is no longer your government and your ability to prosper, take care of your family, share a good life with your friends, and worship your god has been limited. You ask, "How did this happen?" "Why did this happen?" Then, as you try to get involved, you discover that your ability to do anything about it has also been limited.

You soon discover that, while you were enjoying the fruits of your labor, an overwhelming amount of machinery has been put in place to take your earned reward from you. To accomplish this, information has been withheld and the true intent of legislation has been disguised by a media that is now owned and controlled by the kleptocracy that has replaced your republic. Your right to a free press has been abolished and a merger has taken place. Big business and government are now one in the same. They want all of the money and all of the power and they don't really care what happens to you.

Massive tax programs that will further reduce your ability to prosper and live freely are spun as climate control bills that will save the environment. By the time an ear of corn gets canned and put on grocery store shelves, it will have been already taxed ten times. While electricity generation contributes less than 10% to pollution, massive media attention is paid to wind farms and the rush to install them is on before the technology is efficient or cost effective. Wind will be a good energy source in the near future, but we will be forced to pay to replace the turbines that are being installed now.

Senators huff and puff about not loaning taxpayer money to domestic car companies and then they put a clunker rebate program in place that just gives your money to both domestic and foreign car companies. Protect-the-children legislation is enacted that requires you to submit the stuffed teddy bears that you make at home for testing before you can sell them. In other words, you can no longer do this. Food safety bills are introduced that will require that small farmers purchase certain types of seeds only made by large companies and require small farmers to label and GPS enable their livestock and crops. In other words, more small farmers will disappear and we will continue to pay large farming corporations who have purchased the land not to grow anything. A healthcare rationing is bill is introduced and the drug companies pledge $68 billion to support it. "Pain medication might be a better option to an operation", the President says.

Then there were the illegal wars that were planned in 1997, well in advance, to transfer more of our wealth to the military industrial complex and give private corporations access to Iraq's oil. Of course we can't forget the legislation that was passed to cause the .com crash and the mortgage crisis after a few people had made a lot of money. We loaned these people money to cover their sins.

Laws are passed that punish your kids for not being taught and you find yourself forced to actually argue about whether or not the murder of babies should be legal.

"These things are not right", you say. No one listens or you are called a conspiracy nut and told to shut up. The mainstream media special interest groups laugh at you and shake their heads. You keep talking to your friends and family and on twitter and facebook and you keep posting responses to major media articles online. You create a website and post your views.

Suddenly, things called teaparties seem to appear overnight and media bullies begin to get shouted down. You feel comfort as you find more and more people who think like you. The tendency is to continue to talk to your new friends and avoid confrontations, but you know that you have to talk to the ones that are not yet educated. Just keep talking and your voice will be heard.

Just keep talking.
